Uh, uh, uh, no conversation

During a phone conversation with my old roommate Jeff:

Jeff: "Yeah, so Groth's class is kicking my ass. I have a B in there right now"
Me: "Really?!"
Jeff: "Well yeah, well, an A with the homework and stuff, but I don't know how I'll do on that second test. Man, his class is terrible. It's just a bunch of busy work...I spent 15 hours the other day working on some case."
Me: "Well, yeah, see, I just never did any of the work. I guess that's why he hated me."
Jeff: "Well frankly I don't care anymore Allen. I don't care if I make that A or not."

(immeditately, phone beeps; Alex calling from downstairs)

Me: "Hello?"
Alex: "Yeah, he definately cares, and he's definately going to get that A. He is a liar....ok, I gotta go."
